The "Normandy 1944 research community" is dedicated to the memory of the bitter fighting that took place in Normandy - from the D-day landings up to the liberation of Paris. This website was raised to keep the memory of the dramatic summer of 1944 alive and do justice to the sacrifices of civilians and soldiers, of all sides, in Normandy.

To achieve this, the website aims to spread and, especially, increase knowledge about the Normandy campaign. As such professional and amateur historians are invited to publish their research and share relevant information on this website. By providing a research platform this site hopes to improve the understanding of the Normandy campaign and reach younger generations.
In the first place this website will focus on the military aspects of the Normandy campaign. This approach will vary from large scale strategy to military equipment and the stories of individual soldiers. Aside from this, space will be reserved for relevant topics that provide a valuable context for invasion in Normandy.
We will remember!
This website is apolitical and firmly rejects Nazism and similar believes.
